• Outreach at Dye Workshops in Collaboration with Seelie Studio (2025) — assisted in the dye process and held a mini lecture on sea urchins to provide background on the biology of the species we used for our dye bath for several workshops at Fibershed, SF Bay “Bite Back” event and at the Aquarium of the Bay.

• Bilinski Fellowship Art, Science and Sea Urchins Workshop Organizer (2025)— collaborative event hosted with Seelie Studio where we invited local artists, scientists and urchin harvesters to dye fabric with sea urchins, discuss the role of sea urchins in nature and build community. This workshop has also facilitated continued collaborations between Maddie, Seelie Studio, the Aquarium of the Bay, Fibershed, and urchin removal groups in Stillwater Cove with  P.U.R.P.  and the  Caspar Cove Project .

• Science Uncorked Speaker (2025) — outreach event lead by the Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory with the greater Bodega Bay community

• Limpet Extractions & Data Collection Classroom Volunteer (2024) – Bilinski Outreach Project led by Shreya Banerjee: “invisible ecologies: a class research project”

• UC Davis Annual Picnic Day Volunteer (2022, 2023)-Live event for people of all ages to explore the “Tree of Life” , including talking with me about Echinoderms!
